EDS Continues Applications Services Growth In Argentina, Opens New Facility In Buenos Aires
Building On Its Strong Best Shore® Presence
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Building on its strong Best Shore® presence, EDS, a global technology services leader in delivering business solutions to clients, today opened a new applications services facility in Buenos Aires at Puerto Madero. The move is part of the company's aggressive expansion of its multibillion-dollar applications business worldwide.
This new facility adds to EDS' ongoing expansion throughout Latin America, and especially in Argentina, where the company recently opened a Global Service Center in Cordoba. EDS Argentina has approximately 2,500 employees and operates in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario and Mendoza.
Eduardo Araujo, vice president and regional general manager of EDS Latin America, said: “Latin America, and particularly Argentina, are key points for our Best Shore strategy. We intend to keep growing those markets as they have strategic importance to our worldwide operations.”

The opening of this center underscores our rapid growth and commitment to the region,” said Tas.
This new facility began construction in September 2007 and adds to EDS offices built in Nuñez in 1993. Those offices have the technological infrastructure capable of supporting local, regional and international clients. The new building at Puerto Madero was built over a 3400 m2 base, has 12 floors and 1500 m2 of private parking.
